Worship added to the BBC Introducing Radio 1 Playlist
Since forming in 2010, Worship have spent their time crafting their sound and steadily building a reputation as one of the most talented unsigned acts out there through electrifying live performances alongside acts like ANR, Alpines, Trophy Wife and Everything Everything.
Already well versed in the ways of the recording studio, Worship have self-produced a string of demos of such high quality that it’s hard to imagine any room for improvement. Yet improve they do, consistently, and with a sense of purpose that is reflected in the driving rhythm of their music.
A brilliantly received performance on the BBC Introducing stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival has secured a place on the BBC Introducing playlist for one of the band’s earlier tracks, ‘Collateral’. This means plays on all of Radio 1’s biggest daytime shows over the coming week, giving Worship the biggest audience of their career so far. ‘Collateral’ is a perfect introduction to the haunting and powerful sound that Worship have forged; music that walks a very fine line between a sombre sense of foreboding and lush, intoxicating melody. The bands debut single, ‘House of Glass’ is due for a full release in October, on Killing Moon Records.
Worship will be appearing at Standon Calling on Friday the 12th of August, a festival with a proven knack for picking bands on their way to stardom; Friendly Fires, Florence and the Machine, and Mumford and Sons to name but a few.
