Singing Adams (former Broken Family Band) to play UK shows
aaamusic | On 05, Aug 2011
‘Injured Party’ is the third single to be released from ‘Everybody Friends Now’, the brilliant début album by SINGING ADAMS. The band came together six months after the demise of Steven Adams’ previous act, the critically acclaimed, badly dressed drinking man’s cult favourite country-band-turned-indie-rock-outfit The Broken Family Band, which collapsed under the weight of its own mythology. Steven Adams doesn’t do it alone. He’s joined by bassist The Amazing Michael Wood (who used to have a lovely wee indie band called Michaelmas), drummer Melinda Bronstein (known for her work with Absentee, Wet Paint) and louche guitar player Matthew Ashton (The Leaf Library, Saloon). All four of them sing and they’re playing the long game, so don’t over-think it. See Singing Adams singing live on their biggest UK jaunt to date this autumn:
