Emerging talents Drive have secured their position on my ‘summer 2011 playlist’ with a series of anthemic indie demos.

 

It is clear that the London band dream of a sound bigger than they are currently capable of producing with songs that possess clear hints of arena-ambitions but which remain, for now, rough around the edges. Whilst immediately impressed by Sleeping in the Day, the band’s strongest track on offer is No Feel.  The tune grabs you by the throat immediately, the vocals fitting perfectly with the strutting indie beat.  This builds to an impressive anthemic chorus that is easy to imagine festival goers euphorically rocking out to.
