The Jezabels – Endless Summer by thejezabels

“While The Beta Band released arguably the finest musical trilogy of all time… The Jezabels have run them pretty close.” Artrocker
“Increasingly adept at flooding our ears with thundering emotions. Almost operating outside trend, their music more simply exists than chases our approval. They are here to stay.” Clash
“The Jezabels are taking all the theatrical swoon and emotional abandon you could possibly imagine and packing it into one sweeping, stern punch of excellence.” The Fly
“A far rockier and gothier take on freeway rawk… Siouxsie’s sternness and the blaring power of Florence Welch… suggests a breakthrough is imminent…” Guardian Band of the Day
“This is a band on the cusp of greatness. Hayley Mary’s incredible soaring voice is mesmeric.”
Music Week
Having made their debut UK live appearance in May of this year, Australian four-piece The Jezabels left British shores on a wave of critical approval, with expectations high from both the band and the industry.
With both independent and major labels’ interests piqued it was to be Play It Again Sam Recordings who beat off competition from a number of other labels to sign the band after they caught them at this year’s SXSW. Further thrilling performances at The Great Escape and various shows in London, Holland and Germany led the label to approach the band with a deal in May.
As a result of the tie up, the band will release their debut full-length, Prisoner, through Play It Again Sam Recordings in Spring 2012. The Jezabels will release single Endless Summer on Monday 5th September 2011, the first to be taken from their debut album.
