Redeye’s debut album is a musical onslaught of classic rock: a well-crafted release created by an obviously talented band.

The opening guitar solo of Debutant gives you a good sense of what the rest of the record has to offer: it is crammed full of classic rock melodies and catchy riffs. The guitarists are the best element of Redeye as whilst the vocals often failed to capture me, the guitars maintain a constantly polished edge (a perfect example of this is Surfer). My favourite track of the record was Stand which is extremely well formed: building effectively and maintaining an authentic sound.

This release undoubtedly sounds a little dated, however, it is unashamedly classic rock and, hey, what’s wrong with that.
