Jens Lekman, known for his sweetly rendered pop melodies will release a brand new EP on 19th September in the UK via Secretly Canadian. The disc, entitled ‘An Argument With Myself’, follows his critically acclaimed 2007 album ‘Night Falls Over Kortedala’. Praise for ‘…Kortedala’ was wide-ranging and the album was named one of Pitchfork’s Top 200 Albums of the 2000s.
The track list is as follows:
- An Argument With Myself
- Waiting For Kirsten
- A Promise
- New Directions
- So This Guy At My Office
Jens recently did an interview with Andrew Hall of the Union Bulletin in Walla Walla Washington. The discussion covers many topics including the new EP, the songs contained therein and “making a feather out of a bird.” Jens calls the EP “a little taste of what’s not to come.”
Jens has also announced a series of US tour dates (detailed here), with the UK/EU shows to follow in due course.
‘An Argument With Myself’ will be released on CD/12″/Digital formats.
