Sebrok continues his fine form of remix packages with the release of ‘The Pain Remixes Part 2’, out on Paso Music this summer. Hot on the heels of ‘The Pain Remixes Part 1’, which was released earlier this year and saw the likes of Christian Smith, Sian and Martin Woerner lend their talents at remixing Sebrok’s album tracks in their own imitable style – ‘The Pain Remixes Part 2’ ropes in new friends Layo & Bushwacka, And.Id, Adam Port and Andreas Henneberg, to try their hand at the remixing merry go round.

Up first and turning their talents to ‘The Truth’ are Layo & Bushwacka!. As they ready themselves to take their legendary ‘Shake It’ parties to Amnesia for a weekly summer season and with their next instalment ready to drop on their own Olmeto label, the London based duo are the perfect choice to lead from the front. As you’d expected, the boys combine encompassing atmospherics with a rock solid kick drum and locked tight groove.

Next up is Mobilee badman, And.id. The Greek producer has been on a musical mission so far in 2011, releasing stunning originals and remixes on Quantized Music, 2020 Vision and of course Mobilee. His ability to effortlessly switch from driving tech to the deepest of house is most enviable and today he reworks ‘Drop The Pressure’ into a summer smash. Adding a large does of Balearic beauty, helped in no small part by the drifting horns and acoustic guitar lick, the full, rounded bassline adds enough drive to make it perfect for the dancefloor.

Adam Port is certainly the man of the moment. Since his rework of Timo Maas & Santos dropped at the tale end of 2010, he’s been the name on everyone’s lips. Releases this year for Liebe*Detail, Stil Vor Talent, Souvenir, International DeeJay Gigolos and Snatch! have seen his stock rise yet further, as has the success of his own Keinemusik label. All of which makes it even more exciting for us to welcome him to Paso, with his remix of ‘In Japan.’ Staying true to the vibe of the original, Adam keeps things deep and sultry. Using the vocal to fine effect, the throbbing bassline and creepy sounds make this perfect for sweaty summer floors.

Veteran Techno don, Andreas Henneberg continues his stunning run of recent form, following up his recent releases for Ideal Audio and Budenzauber, by turning his attention to delivering a killer rework of Sebrok & Tassilo smash, ‘Feel It.’ With an original that was already a huge favourite with the DJ’s, in part due to its superb groove, Andreas has shown his respect and more.
