THE DIRTY BEGGARS (Scotland)
Five boys born in the wrong country, The Dirty Beggars are an outfit from Central Scotland, with the music of the Appalachians running in their blood. Comprising of guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, harmonica and double bass, The Dirty Beggars are one-of-a-kind in the UK, blasting out the tunes made popular in the 21st Century by the bluegrass revival following the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack album, as well as their own growing repertoire of their own compositions and songs.
In the past year, The Dirty Beggars have gone from strength to strength, having played the  high profile Celtic Connections and Southside festivals, as well as  taking last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival by  storm. The bands first studio album is awaiting release in Summer 2011.
“tight, stompin’ and quite simply incredible…wholesome harmonies with the sharp kick of a mule.” – Glasgow PodcART

“A singer-songwriter with a love of stories, beauty in everyday details and details of everyday relationships, Bice Holden writes folk songs with an edge.” – Troubador

HARRISBURG
Townes-fuelled country songs from wordy Brixton based songsmith who once turned down a cigarette from the late great Davy Graham ’cause he prefers to roll his own.
