A bit about TELLISON – After a break from it all following their much loved and acclaimed debut album ‘Contact Contact’, a year of writing and a whole summer of recording (and playing Truck Festival), TELLISON relocated to an old stately home in Scotland. They got pumped on The Weakerthans, Pedro The Lion, Osker, The Get Up Kids, Phoenix and Bruce Springsteen records and made a mess for a month. The result is the brand new album ‘The Wages Of Fear’, an album filled to the brim with fun, intelligence, melody, beauty and sadness. Songs that leap out at you from the start and songs that slowly grow and build, working their way into your brain over repeated listens. Referencing the likes of the 1950’s French film director Henri-Georges Clouzot (in the album title) , Sigmund Freud, both Tom Stoppard and Chekov, in the track ‘My Wifes Grave is in Paris’ and Edith Wharton and her novel ‘The Age of Innocence’, the album is a joy from start to finish.
TELLISON are: Henry Danowski – Drums / Stephen H Davidson – Vocals, guitar / Andrew Tickell – Bass / Peter Phillips – Guitar, vocals
