Responses…

“Psychedelic dreamscapes are the dish of the day

4/5 Artrocker

“Traced in the kind of subtle lysergic glazed lemon popsicle psych overtones that was once the remit of a youthful Spectrum though here as though rewired through the glassy drone mindset of My Bloody Valentine’s ’loveless’”

Losing Today

“it creates the impression of wide-open expanses with haunting and gently swirling synths and reverb soaked vocals that seem to echo the native chanting of some indigenous Indian culture…. rises and falls in waves of cinematic soundscapes”

7/10 Loud Horizon

“This is beautifully made, dreamy, synth-laden psychedelia at its best. Inca Gold should sit MGMT down and give them a master-class in how to do this kinda thing”

New Reviews

London based psychedelic drone quartet Inca Gold deftly flit between hazy shoegaze through to celestial tones and into dream pop. They have picked up comparisons to everyone from ‘Kid A’ era Radiohead, to My Bloody Valentine and MGMT.

The second in a triptych for 2011, ‘Inca Gold II’ is released today on Color + Vision Records and is available to doenload for free on the bands website:  http://incagold.bandcamp.com/

Track listing:

1.     Into Hiding

2.     League

3.     Dark Moves

4.     Gone Fishing

With echoes of cinematic soundtracks they are steadily building a reputation on the live circuit and are quickly developing a considerable amount of praise from blogland in the UK as well the US.

“Psychedelic pop rarely has this kind of fresh-faced clarity. Tasty!” Artrocker

“Distinct instruments all swirl together to form an ocean of noise” Bears Eat Beats

“Inca Gold have managed to get the exact right balance between their crossed genres to create a masterpiece”  Scientists of Sound
