AZARI & III New Single “Manic”

| On 16, Jun 2011

On July 24th Torontonian electronic quartet, Azari and III drop their second single ‘Manic’. This perfectly sculpted piece of minimal-house-pop, taken from their highly anticipated forth-coming debut album pounds funk-induced beats and has remixes from DJ Sneak, Tiger & Woods, Finger Prince and Christian Aids. Come summer this track will be filling warehouses, basements and clubs the world over.

Creating this brooding nu-retro landscape are producers ‘Dinamo Azari’ & ‘Alixander III’ with flamboyant front men duties being taken care of by ‘Fritz Helder’ & ‘Starving Yet Full’. Live, they are a force to be reckoned with having already earned themselves gushing reviews with hoards of club lovers sitting up to take notice.

‘Manic’ mixes an ultra modern and slick production that oozes retro vibes and kicks out a staccato vocal that’ll hook you in. The synth’s that pop and bounce their way through the track hint at 80s disco, samba (fitting considering their work with Friendly Fires) and just straight up minimal house.

Having already done mixes for the likes of Booka Shade, Uffie, Robyn and Cut Copy, Azari and III are a big name and this upcoming single and album will catapult them further into your consciousness.

This summer Azari & III are getting set to take their high-energy spectacle of a live show on the road; with a plethora festival dates across Europe, with Hercules & Love Affair and Asia , as well as the legendary slot at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Ibiza for which the band were personally invited by the man himself, Pete Tong. In the UK, Glasgow will be treated to the ultimate festival warm-up; the bands UK debut headline show at the highly acclaimed club night ‘Death Disco’.
