Tickets for Goldfrapp’s Newly Announced 2014 UK Tour

| On 12, Dec 2013

unnamed

Everyone’s favourite experimental, electronic pop duo Goldfrapp – aka Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory – will tour the UK next year.

Fresh from a sell-out 2013 European Tour (which had SO many good reviews), the London based band will bring their eccentric and unpredictable live show to the UK throughout March and April. Be sure to get yours tickets early, as Goldfrapp shows always sell out in advance. Check out www.bigticketshop.co.uk for tickets now.

Starting at Birmingham Symphony Hall on 26th March, Goldfrapp will finish at Sage in Gateshead on 7th April. No word of a London date (or dates) just yet…

We at AAAmusic have seen Goldfrapp many times over the past few years – including Melt Festival in Germany, Glastonbury and Brixton Academy – and they have never failed to surprise us. These live shows have evolved along with the band’s sound, with their most recent shows rightly taking their 2013 album Tales Of Us as its heart.

Goldfrapp have dabbled in electronic music, trip hop, folk pop and, most famously, synth pop, but their latest (sixth) record is their most striking, understated work yet, with delicate neo-soul-injected, electronic pop. It’s nothing short of beautiful, and these live shows will be all the more intimate due to the intense atmosphere of this record.

Alison Goldfrapp has also been busy curating an art exhibition (what can’t this woman do!?). It opened at Salford’s The Lowry this year, in October, and runs until March (perfect timing taking into account the start of this tour).

But where is that London date? And surely Goldfrapp will descend upon many a UK festival next year??
