She Keeps Bees Announce ‘Dig On’ album, UK headline and festival dates

| On 07, Jun 2011

Names Records are proud to announce the new album, ‘Dig On’, from She Keeps Bees. Released on July 18th 2011, ‘Dig On’ will feature recent free download ‘Saturn Return’, the new single ‘Vulture’ and 10 stunning new tracks.

The full-length album from Brooklyn based Jess Larrabee and Andy LaPlant was self-recorded during November 2010 in a log home set in New York’s Catskill Mountains. Surrounded by trees, stars and silence, Jessica and Andy captured the sounds of a full band – drums, guitars, synths, shakers and friends. No longer having to fight for attention above the siren wails and radiator hiss of a New York City apartment, the music was allowed room to breathe.

Over the course of 12 dynamic songs, the band experiments with a multitude of sounds while Larrabee’s honest and unfettered songwriting cements it all together.
‘Dig On’ Tracklisting:
1.Saturn Return
2.Found You Out
3.Farmer
4.See Me
5.Sister Beware
6.Make You My Moon
7.All Or None/Dark Horse
8.Jupiter Deep
9.Blind To The Cup
10.Vulture
11.Calm Walk In The Dark
12.Burn
Vulture is the first full single to be released from ‘Dig On’, and it’s three-and-a-half minutes of sheer rock‘n’roll power. ‘Vulture’ is a big bad menacing tornado of a song that swoops down on you, knocks you for six, then retreats back into the blackened clouds… circling,  waiting to attack again as you drop the needle back onto the grooves…again and again and again.
