Ah Ibiza. The White Isle. Land of über revelry sensibly unapologetic in its enjoyment of all things joyous, free of cynicism and full of sunshine, sandy beaches and the odd youth vomiting up chips at 8am from four nights out on the razz. Oh Ibiza, what jolly good fun you are.

Having cemented itself as the party island upon this here globe ages ago when hippies lolled around in the heat getting wired on lentil hemp cake, the baton of having a good time all the time has been passed down through the years to the clubbing fraternity of the present day. Indeed it remains at the top spot seeing off competition from other competitors to its crown such as Jamaica, Cuba and Rhyll.

From 60s naked flower children, 90s Balearicism to euro glam ravers, it has truly seen it all. Until now. For this year, this paradise of delight will be tapping its feet to a new beat as Guilty Pleasures comes to Ibiza!

Yes we’ll be jetting into the Balearics in a riot of sequins, sangria and spray tan for two months of weekly parties of premier pop! Coo-wee.

It’s a no brainer: an entire island dedicated to the pursuit of hedonism, 24 hour disco dancing and getting all dolled up for a night out is EXACTLY the sort of place that Guilty Pleasures belongs.

Our home for the summer will be the decadently splendid Aura. A peach of a party spot in the north of the island nestled amongst a beautiful garden that will give George and Andrew’s Club Tropicana a run for its money any day.

The parties will see the Guilty Pleasures resident djs Sean Rowley and Anna Greenwood and their all out razzle-dazzle of a night out from 27th July, for a hedonistic pop delight every Wednesday with all the good and great from Guilty Pleasures. That means an abundance of enthusiasm, industrial quantities of glitter and a truckload of pop to give everyone that guilty mid week glow.

So come join the conga to the island, grab yourself a piña colada or four and head for the sunshine. We all know Ibiza rocks, but for this summer and 2011, Ibiza POPS!
