‘Route One Or Die’ is the début album from London trio ‘Three Trapped Tigers’.
A brilliant début, full of life from the very beginning as shown by the album opener ‘Cramm’ which is a fusion of the less known and relate-able conveyed through instrumental construction and structure which is simply amazing, remaining evident throughout each and every track as the album progresses.
Through the collective input of the trio’s members Tom Rogerson (keyboard, vocals & piano), Matt Calvert (guitar, synths & vocals) and Adam Betts (drums & electronics) ‘Three Trapped Tiger’s are able to create a unique hybrid of music which primarily combines elements of the electronica, rock and “alternative” genre, to produce a stunning début which is both fresh and unique as well as relate-able making it hard not to love as there is something for everyone on offer. For instance the heavy rock sound in ‘Creepies’ to the prominent use of piano in ‘Zil’ which shows the trio’s capability for versatility.
‘Three Trapped Tigers’ tackle the conventional unconventional side of music head first making a rather large impact, through there undeniably unique approach as displayed thoroughly through ‘Route One Or Die’ from start to finish. Overall, an amazing début from a fantastic trio of musicians, which is definitely worth a listen.
