The Click Five – Don’t Let Me Go

The Click Five have released the single Don’t Let Me Go. Unfortunately, without watching the video, any ordinary listener would pass it off as a mild-mannered, hapless love song – but there is oh so much more to it than that. Dont’ Let Me Go was released in collaboration with MTV EXIT, a media-based campaign whose eventual aim is to help prevent human trafficking. The music video features the general public (and the band) going about their daily lives, the only thing wrong with the scene is that they are all wearing blindfolds – a metaphor that stands for how we all blindly ignore the horrors that surround us. Hopefully, the sentimentality in the music can then be transferred and translated into sentimentality for the victims of trafficking around the world. A good sing for a good cause.
