“I’m a massive fan! Hugely Impressive!”
(Chris Hawkins, BBC 6music)
“Delooze are an amazing outfit, definitely ones to watch out for”
(Chris Hayden, Florence & The Machine)
“Delooze are one of the most powerful and exciting bands that I have had the pleasure of working with. The energy and drama of both their records and their gigs needs to be experienced first hand to be believed. Delooze sound like Siouxie Sioux meet the Secret Machines at a Kraftwerk gig and then they make a record that sounds like the future”
(Dom Morley, GRAMMY winning producer)
Casting an enigmatic and powerful figure Stacey DeLooze fronts a collective fusing together deep electronics with rock and classical instrumentation to create a dark and brooding take on dramatically charged power pop that has created a wave of much deserved hype amongst those in the know.
With her latest single, the slow-burning ‘We Are Transient’ just around the corner, this buzz is only set to rise.
Already garnering virtually universal acclaim, the track’s unparalleled sense of dynamics and atmosphere offers an extra dimension on what similar artists in the field are currently producing. Seemingly gifted and wise beyond their years, DeLooze have created a unique take on modern music, far grittier but ultimately far more rewarding than many of their peers.
With a string of notable summer shows on the horizon, including performing at the women’s UEFA Champions League Final at Craven Cottage and a set in Glastonbury’s Dance Village.
No less than 14 remixes feature on the full remix package, ranging from the melodic, BBC Radio 1 supported electro of Coin Operated Boy, Claude Von Stroke and DJ EZ (Kiss FM) favourite Hybu, right through to Kitsune’s alternative mainstays Is Tropical and covering house, techno, future garage, stripped back electronica and indie dance reflect the widespread appeal of Delooze’s compositions. We give you the Coin Operated Boy and Is Tropical remixes but all others are available upon request.
Her debut album, currently being mixed by Dom Morley (Adele, Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson) and boasting guest appearances by members of Florence and the Machine, Gnarls Barkley and Alanis Morissette, is due to drop early 2012. ‘We are Transient’ is released on Gash Digital on the July 11th 2011.
