FLOGGING MOLLY AND GENERO.TV LAUNCH VIDEO COMPETITION

| On 20, May 2011

FLOGGING MOLLY, the legendary 7-piece Celtic punk ensemble, are set to release a new single, taken from their forthcoming studio album Speed of Darkness. The single, entitled Revolution, is set for release on the 27th June 2011, immediately following the band’s Glastonbury debut on the Avalon stage.

Flogging Molly have teamed up Genero.tv to launch a music video competition today giving film makers the opportunity to make the official music video for their next single. The winning director will receive $4,000 US dollars and their video will be serviced to global media, including TV. The band will choose the finalist and winning videos themselves, with 2 entries also becoming finalists based on the number of Facebook likes.

The competition closes on June 23 with the winner announced on 1st July. Find out more here http://genero.tv/floggingmolly.

Recorded with producer Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Avett Brothers), the album Speed of Darkness follows up their acclaimed 2008 release Float, which debuted at #4 on the US Billboard Top 200 and sold over 2 million copies worldwide.

In Revolution, a future Flogging Molly classic with a biting call to action, the band unleash a single that will appeal to the army of Molly Faithful and new fans alike, with expert musicianship and powerful rootsy instrumentation whipped up into a rousing brew which is already rocking the band’s live set.
