Introducing Diagrams: New Full Time Hobby Signing
aaamusic | On 18, May 2011
Full Time Hobby are very pleased and excited to announce that their latest signing is London-based act Diagrams, whose self-titled 5 track debut EP will be released on CD and digitally on 11th July in the UK.
Crisp, minimalist pop has a new face, and it’s that of Diagrams, named for the defining sound of clean, sharp production and programming. From the brass and string-laden skip of ‘Antelope’ to the Tom Waits-meets-funk trombone in ‘Hill’ and the sweetly acoustic ‘Icebreakers’, this is a new, playfully eclectic side to the singer-songwriting tradition, full to the brim of colourful and impressionistic lyrical imagery.
The EP will also be available as a very limited edition (200) screen-printed 12” that can be pre-ordered via Rough Trade and the FTH website.
A full album and tour dates are set to follow this release – watch this space for more news. Diagrams are confirmed to perform at End Of The Road Festival (2nd – 4th September), tickets for which are available via the festival site
