ARROWS OF LOVE

‘Song 1’

May 23rd 2011

Handspun Records

“An epileptic fit set to music…..wild-eyed and feral, raw and unpolished and all the better for it.” Music Week

“Tattered, erratic, and modest, it’s the stuff of classic rock legend.” The Independent

“Impressive…..Punk infused white noise collides with Barrettesque schizophrenia” Drowned In Sound

Arrows of Love have been lauded as one of the most exciting live bands in London, receiving XFM’s ‘X-posure Hot One’ title and airplay from the likes of Lauren Lauverne, John Kennedy, Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq, Rob da Bank, Tom Robinson, and playing alongside the likes of The 80’s Matchbox B-Line Disaster and British Sea Power.

‘Song 1’ exhibits the band’s energy and accessibility combined. It’s a pure blast and showcases perfectly the band’s ability to roll out the commercial – albeit at the more raucous end of the spectrum.

After being a revolving collective that included members of Courtney Love, Jamie T, Turbogeist, Loverman, and others, Arrows of Love has now completed a core lineup that has taken their live shows to a new level.

The same chemistry, particularly between singers Nima and Lyndsey, has affected their approach to the recording of their debut album, upon which they are working with Rory Brattwell (Kasms, Male Bondong, S.C.U.M), and Bob Weston of Shellac.

The next single, ‘The Knife’, will be released in late summer.
