Produced by Matthew Herber, Barbara Panther self titled debut album is an incredible piece of energetic work, focused on “roots” and which helps solve the complicated puzzle which is her life. Electronic music meets baroque in what seems to be a happy marriage, reminding the listener of Bjork at her best moment, while her lyrics unveil her anger towards Rwanda (her roots) and the western world, adding a touch of political consciousness to the album, without falling into the trap of being too tedious.

It is one of the best debuts of the year and we truly hope the start of a happy, long career for her.
