Real Fur are an exciting new trio from the East of London who prove once again that innovation gets people talking; recently gaining notable coverage in the Evening Standard for their Safari Funk parties, which they host in the Laundrettes of London-town, which certainly grabbed peoples attention. With clean clothes, fresh attention and a host of cleaning products the boys are set to release their debut single ‘Animal’ on Safari Funk records on 6th June and take their brand of tropical indie pop on their first Nationwide Laundrette Safari Funk Tour in May of this year.
With originally two thirds of the group being in a rock ‘n’ roll band, Leo and Matt decided to ditch the rock ‘n’ roll and embrace the pure tropical storm of indie pop that was discovered upon the addition of new drummer George to the line up. Taking influences from a wide range Real Fur cleverly congregate and combining a catchy blend of tropical funk guitar pop, up tempo bass and drums topped off by stupendous 3 part vocal harmonies.
Available as a digital release Real Fur will be unleashing their tropical brand of pop in the form of debut single ‘Animal’ on the 6th June 2011, and will be exclusively available before then from the Real Fur website.
