Peter Bjorn And John release new single “May Seem Macabre” dealing with an out of body experience on May 30th on Cooking Vinyl

| On 08, May 2011

Peter Bjorn And John recently released their sixth album  “Gimme Some” on Cooking Vinyl and on the back of a hat trick of triumphant sold out UK shows they are now set to release the single “May Seem Macabre”  on May 30th.

Guitarist Peter Morén explains “May Seem Macabre”  has an indie disco feel and lyrically is about “an out-of-body-experience, seeing your own funeral from above. You see friends and relatives mourning. But the funny thing is that it’s beautiful, because right beside you is your one true love. You’re going down (or up) together, which makes it a happy occasion! A bit like Romeo & Juliet I guess. So trying to be upbeat about dying. Like funeral-disco instead of the New Orleans-brass-bands ”When The Saints”.

What the critics have said so far about “Gimme Some”:

Is it possible for something to be too much bloody fun? ‘Gimme Some’, is absolutely superb;  It may be a little hasty to admit this soon, but this is a contender for 2011’s best.”
