Joe Cang – Bed
aaamusic | On 27, Apr 2011
With a release packed as full of the classic Rat Pack ‘schmaltz’ as 2011 could allow, Joe Cang has returned with his second solo album, Bed. Cang is undoubtedly a man of many talents: a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. He has been on the scene for many years and its shows; the release is a slick compilation of smooth soul and flamboyant jazz. He knows what he’s doing and he does it well!
The well-rounded release is represented well by standout tracks, the fast-paced and swinging Bella Signorina and the more mellow but equally enchanting Divine. Obvious parallels can be drawn between Cang and Michael Buble, although, whilst Buble likes his jazz with a modern twist, Cang takes his straight-up. It is an unashamedly classic sound that takes you back to a romantic time of swinging dance halls.
Let Cang take you to Bed with his dreamy brand of old-romance.
