I admit that I’m used to another kind of Snoop Dogg, but it’s clear that electronic contaminations on rap music infected him as well, after having totally persuaded The Black Eyed Peas.

Twenty years have passed form Doggystyle, his debut album, and this rapper experienced a music evolution that has been keeping him on the crest of a wave for years.

Sweat is the turning point of 10s and sees the collaboration of David Guetta, the most acclaimed DJ of the world. The tune is based on Dogg’s distorted vocals, they are barely recognizable, sounds are metallic and very minimal: the rhythm is hypnotic broken only by strange voices that suddenly enter the tune. It will definitely be a summer hit, also thanks to Guetta’s remix.

David Guetta confirms his mastery as a remixer, enriching the tune with an exhilarating groove, adding non-invasive but embellishing sounds on verses, and creating a synths crescendo exploding into the refrain to give the tune more impact. Good job!
