Napoleon IIIrd has announced a full-band, full-album performance of his latest album CHRISTIANIA at Brainlove Festival on May 28th, to be held at Brixton Windmill. The album swept the board in the UK music press and propelled him into the consciousness of discerning listeners Europe-wide, seeing him tour in Norway, Switzerland, Germany and Spain in 2011. The gig will see a 6-piece band play the album as a whole, with live visuals by Leeds-based VJ & film director Ashley Dean, aka BROKEN PIXEL.

A single, The Unknown Unknown, has been released as a free ‘remixtape’ after topping the worldwide Hype Machine chart earlier in the year, with new versions of various Christiania tracks byDREAMTRAK DIAMOND SOUND, OLUGBENGA (Metronomy) and L’ETRANGER.

The video for the track, by emerging music photographer and director SONNY MALHOTRA, got 10,000 views in a single week and topped the MySpace UK video charts, above the likes of Jessie J and Vaccines.

Napoleon IIIrd is a welcome alternative to the vapid British pop stars of the moment – and he is here to stay.

A second single from the album, “The Hardline Optimist”, will be released in July.
