The Bees to join Fleet Foxes and Villagers at the Eden Sessions

Isle of Wight indie rockers The Bees have been added to the Fleet Foxes and Villagers bill for the Eden Session on July 1.
The Bees come to Eden following last year’s release of their fourth studio album Every Step’s A Yes. They blend psychedelic and country influences with guitar-based indie rock.
Their first record Sunshine Hit Me was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and the follow-ups Free the Bees and Octopus both made the top 30 in the UK album charts. Free The Bees featured the band’s most successful single to date, Chicken Payback.
Fleet Foxes – the headline act for the evening – are set to release their anticipated second album Helplessness Blues on May 3. Their eponymous debut hit number three in the UK album charts in 2008 and received universal critical acclaim.
This year’s Eden Sessions will feel more like a one-day festival than ever before, with three stages featuring some of the best up-and-coming acts playing from early afternoon on each day as well as world-famous headliners. Every Sessions ticket includes entry to Eden on the day of the show or the day after.
Tickets are still available for the Eden Sessions. The other dates are Primal Scream and The Horrors (June 23), Pendulum (June 25), The Flaming Lips, The Go! Team and OK Go (June 30) and Brandon Flowers and Mystery Jets (July 12).
The Eden Sessions are now in their tenth year. Performers in previous years include Oasis, Kasabian, Mumford & Sons, Florence and the Machine, Muse, Paul Weller, Jack Johnson, Hot Chip, Snow Patrol, Moby, PJ Harvey, The Verve and many more.
Tickets for all Eden Session cost £37.50 plus booking fee and are available from the Eden box office on 01726 811972.
