Levi’s® hosts Graham Coxon’s return to the live scene at Proud
Sunday 1st May 2011 2pm-4am
Levi’s® continues its Craft Of Music series at Gaymers Camden Crawl this year. Levi’s® Craft Of Music provides a diverse range of artists, bands and performers with a stage on which to express and discuss their craft. Gaymers Camden Crawl, London’s foremost festival for new music, provides the perfect platform.
Headlining the Levi’s® stage at Proud is Graham Coxon, one of UK music’s most revered lead guitarists and singer-songwriters. He will be playing a full live performance of new material from a forthcoming release. Graham Coxon’s approach to his solo material perfectly reflects the creativity, integrity and single minded attention to detail that the Levi’s® Craft Of Music series seeks to uncover and showcase.
Tickets to see Graham Coxon will be made available to Levi’s® Facebook fans who register for tickets. Go to www.facebook.com/levisuk for full details. Gaymers Camden Crawl ticket holders will also have access on a first-come first-serve basis.
The rest of the bill combines a raft of exciting and fresh music talent, including an exclusive collaboration between Brownswood-signed, Gilles Peterson-approved, low-slung raps of Ghostpoet and soul vocalist Rox – whose incredible voice mesmerized a packed Levi’s® store at last month’s Craft Of Music in-store.
Glaswegian six-piece The Phantom Band released their second album ‘The Wants’ at the tail end of 2010 and will bring their beguiling sound to Levi’s® Craft Of Music. Also performing will be the incredible violinist and vocalist Marques Toliver. Plucked from obscurity by TV On The Radio whilst busking, Marques releases his debut EP on Bella Union in April. The soulful Martyna Baker will be performing an acoustic set, whilst forward-thinking indie comes from Dutch Uncles. The live performances are brought to a close with Parisian electro from Housse De Racket.
DJ sets by Delphic, Housse De Racket and special guests will keep the music going until 4am.
Levi’s® Craft of Music was originally launched in August 2010 with a mini-series of six gigs across two weeks and proved a hugely popular format. Artists including Carl Barat, Beardyman, Lissie, Bass Clef, The Magic Numbers and Chilly Gonzales showcased and discussed their craft to a handful of lucky music fans. The runaway success of these shows inspired Levi’s® to run the series across all of 2011, with Dazed Live being its first foray outside of its Regent St. Flagship store.
