God Save Our Scene at Egg Nightclub!

On Bank Holiday Sunday 1st May innovative promoter Jim Warboy and the SOS family are taking over London’s Egg nightclub to present a one-off night God Save Our Scene, as part of the venue’s 8th birthday weekend celebrations.
This will be the Bank Holiday party of the weekend and will gather together some of London’s wildest, sexiest and most flamboyant characters to create a bash that will put the Royal couple’s wedding reception to shame.
It promises to deliver a unique combination of ideas that represent the kind of creativity that has continually kept London at the forefront of club music and fashion.
After its gutsy NYE 12hr launch party, that DJ Mag dubbed ‘the final destination for London’s true party heads’, it’s clear that SOS is already shaking up London’s in-the-know scene with its signature main room catwalk, off-the-wall installations, raunchy backroom and uncompromising music.
Carmen Xtravaganza, famed for her influential role in the original NYC Vogue balls and appearing in the definitive ball scene documentary Paris Is Burning, will be performing and working it with the glamour that made her legendary.
There will be three floors of music covering Electro House, from Kitsuné’s Punks Jump Up and Circus’ Queen of England Jodie Harsh. The middle floor will bang out chunky Catwalk House, from Warboy, Kris Di Angelis, and DJ Mag’s Joe Roberts, with the loft floor dedicated to the rapidly influential Vintage House and a splattering Disco from pioneers Tasty Tim and Dissident Records founder Andy Blake.
Ensuring that this night will be elevated from the usual one dimensional club nights to a multi-dimensional experience will be riotous performances from Time Out ‘Performer of the Year’, Scottee. double-take tranny hosts Mika Doll, Munroe Bergdorf and Daniel Lismore. Catwalk and Vogueing dancers House of Sergeant be working the runway with their moves passed down from NYC Ball Scene masters.
Designer Andrew Bannister from fashion label Studio_805 will be showing pieces from his Warhol’s Factory inspired Autumn 2011/12 collection. ‘Studio_805 shot Andy Warhol’- is all about fame, reflection and NYC go-go dancers.
DJ/rapper, and recent guest on Channel Four’s Come Dine With Me, Niyi will be showcasing his music from his upcoming album, including his serious acid-tongue bass track Nine Inch Heels.
No Royal wedding weekend would be complete without SOS having its own twisted marriage installations. Til Death Do Us Party is a wedding ceremony performance by artist Angel Rose and her groom-to-be, Josh Quinton. SOS will also be showcasing its own in-house agency Male Order Brides, the perfect opportunity to find your perfect match.
The house music club scene is truly having a renaissance but, whilst it may be sound like it’s going back to its roots, the mangled minds at SOS are nurturing a completely new offshoot. God Save Our Scene!
