“majestic music” – NME

“sweetly hopeful, polyrhythmically propelled mix of champer pop and intelligent alt.rock” – Time Out
Ra Ra Riot have announced the details of their first UK tour in May after 2 years away from our shores. New York’s finest are heading out onto the road for a lightning UK visit calling at London’s Garage, Manchester and Brighton in three consecutive days, bringing their phenomenal live shows fizzing with non-stop, elegant and intelligent indie tunes. Full details of the shows are below.
Following on from the release of current single ‘Boy’ this week, the band are also set to release new single ‘Too Dramatic’ on the 9th May and second album ‘The Orchard’ will fall the day before the tour starts on the 16th May.

Ra Ra Riot were recently fortunate to appear on ‘Last Call With Carson Daly’ in the States, do watch the performance here: http://theaudioperv.com/2011/03/25/ra-ra-riot-too-too-too-fast-too-dramatic-324-last-call/
‘The Orchard’ is the band’s sophomore record and as its title suggests, was recorded at a peach orchard farmhouse in upstate New York. On this album, the band seem to have found an assurance and joie de vivre that came from the closure obtained by laying their debut, ‘The Rhumb Line’ to rest. All framed within the context of discovering the pleasure and benefits obtained from country living. This is more than evident in the songs that Ra Ra Riot will proudly lay before us.
