Soviet Soviet are currently in studio to record their first album, due out early June on Tannen Records.

In the last couple of years the trio from Pesaro (Italy’s East Coast) established themselves as one of the most followed post-punk acts all over Europe, with the only help of two self-produced EPs and a 7″ split with ango-french band Frank (Just Frank) (Dec. 2010, Mannequing Records) in their
catalogue.

Soviet Soviet trong bass lines, closed rhythms and dirty guitars got them a 7/10 mark on Pitchfork (“Soviet Soviet take a broad view of the genre, ignoring timestamps and geographic restrictions to assemble a specimen uniquely theirs”), features on Artrocker and countless blog posts from France to Poland, to not forget about recent key gigs in Nice, Salzburg, Berlin and Paris.
