What is Extalgic all about?
Extalgic invites thousand’s of musicians, singers, dancers and DJs to bring their Instruments and Muses for a 3 day Music Making experience, an all levels Jam Festival!
The concept is pure and simple; Extalgic is about experiencing a festival from the inside out by inviting people to watch, perform and become part of the festival.
Our headliners have been carefully chosen because not only are they the most exciting talent on the international circuit at present, but given the collaborative nature of this festival these artist will give you specially prepared performances only to be found at Extalgic. In fact many of the artists are so excited that they have made special arrangements to attend the whole weekend so they can join in the whole festival.
It is not surprising that some people are already coining this festival as a ‘jam festival’ as we have a number of stages set up for you to perform. In addition we have 600 acres of one of London’s finest ancient forest and field for intimate and mass jams. All levels of music makers and appreciators are invited to enjoy exploring Rock n roll, Blues, 60’s/70’s/80’s, soul, any genre we want really. This is a true chance to come and explore making music. Like all festivals we are a ‘Community’, a community of music maker and appreciators, this is the heart of Extalgic.
Over the 3 days there will be plenty to keep everyone entertained. To complement the programmed live music there are special guest from the music industry hosting talks about the business and offer useful advice. There are workshops that will bring us all closer to music. Open mic and decks will be allowing people to perform and headliners will keep you on your toes and ears to the ground with impromptu session.
Below we have outlined some of the acts which will be playing and a little bit about what they will bring to Extalgic. In the coming weeks we will be updating our website with interviews from our artists about why they are looking forward to this new type of festival and how they are going to change their set accordingly.
Extalgic is a new way of enjoying a festival where friends can become a real part of the festival and enjoy new music through listening and playing. It is also a fantastic spectators weekend as they will be submerged in the music and friendliness of musicians of all abilities coming together for fun!
