COLD CAVE TO PLAY ROUGH TRADE EAST IN-STORE ON APRIL 4TH
UK TOUR BEGINS MARCH 29TH

The Rough Trade show is the latest addition to the New York-based group’s string of UK shows beginning next week in Bristol (March 29th at Start The Bus) and concluding in London with a special night hosted by The Quietus at The Lexington on Tuesday 5th April. The tour will be the first chance for UK fans to see the new live five-piece band set-up, fronted as ever by Wesley Eisold (formerly of American Nightmare and Some Girls). The Spring UK tour dates are as follows:
March
29th – The Cooler, Bristol
30th – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds (TICKETS)
31st – Stereo, Glasgow (TICKETS)
April
1st – The Ruby Lounge, Manchester (TICKETS)
2nd – Clwb Ifor Bach (TICKETS)
4th – Rough Trade East (in-store performance at 7pm MORE INFO)
5th – The Quietus @ The Lexington (TICKETS)
Cherish The Light Years is a remarkable progression both from Cold Cave’s acclaimed debut Love Comes Close (“Spectacular,” Guardian Guide), and the discordant Cremations compilation. The album was recorded with Chris Coady in New York City and is a tour de force of pounding synths and soaring romantic melody. Eisold’s lyrics were largely inspired by night time walks after moving to New York City and not unlike Genet, Lou Reed, Baudelaire or Arthur Russell, Eisold uses the temptations of the City to examine the duality of human nature.
Other players on the album include long-time Cold Cave associates Dominick Fernow (Prurient) and Jennifer Clavin (ex-Mika Miko) plus guest appearances from Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Tonie Joy (Moss Icon) and Sean Martin (ex-Hatebreed) on guitars, Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw) on bass and guitar, Matt Sweeney (Chavez) on bass and Gae Licata on drums.
