Playing out and making music together since 2009, Raymond “Qbical” van Baal and Paul Hazendonk (otherwise known as Furrr & Hazendonk) have a manifesto far more convincing than that of most politicians. As simple an idea as it is effective, their aim is clear – to have fun and fly in the face of those ‘whining and moaning purist cry babies.’ Right, that’s told them.

The English translation of Huiswerk might be homework, but there’s not a sniff of a let’s-stay-at-home about it. True, if you were really caught in a bind and caught in a last minute all night study session it would probably see you through. It would keep you energized with the more effectiveness than a certain drink. One that makes continual empty promises about getting you airborne.

Huiswerk is one of those tunes that will have you throwing all kinds of shapes with your friends. It’s a larky, lighthearted track that perfectly conveys what this duo are all about and the bouncy beats are clearly aimed at those who care about keeping their cool on the dancefloor.

Relax, giggle like a loon and bounce along to a track that makes you realize that just because something is really accessible, doesn’t mean it isn’t great.

With a slightly more restrained but no less enjoyable approach, remix contributions come from the awesome Redondo & Sideburn (who also founded Witty Tunes, the track’s label) and from headhoncho of SK Supreme Records, Sabb.
