Legendary British Hard Rockers Uriah Heep have signed to Frontiers Records to release their 23rd studio album, ‘Into The Wild’, on April 18th, distributed via Cargo. Produced by Mike Paxman (Status Quo, Asia), ‘Into The Wild’ contains twelve brand new, technically brilliant, heavy organ and guitar driven sophisticated melodic hard rock songs, all packed with the band’s soaring, trademark multi-part harmony vocals.

‘Into The Wild’ was recorded at Liscombe Park Studios in Buckinghamshire, England,  and the album cover art work was once again designed by renowned Greek – American artist Ioannis (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Styx, Saga etc). The track listing is; ‘Nail On The Head’ (the first single, for which a video is currently being shot and will be added to the album as a special interactive tool) ‘I Can See You’, ‘Into The Wild’, ‘Money Talk’, ‘I’m Ready’ ‘Trail Of Diamonds’, ‘Southern Star’, ‘Believe’, ‘Lost’, ‘T-Bird Angel’, and ‘Kiss Of Freedom’.

Uriah Heep, who indisputably invented Hard Rock in conjunction with Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, have sold in excess of 30 million albums since their inception in 1969. From their early incarnation as The Gods and Spice, through record breaking tours, gold and platinum selling albums, timeless chart scaling anthems and a fiercely dedicated fan base of worldwide proportions, Uriah Heep can rightly claim to be one of the greatest U.K. progressive heavy rock bands of both the 20^th and 21^stcenturies.

Heep have been through an incredible number of permutations, with Mick Box, (whose Cheshire cat grin has endured through all the highs and lows that are inevitable for such a lengthy musical career), always at the helm. Ex Bowie/Ziggy band bassist Trevor Bolder joined in 1976, while keyboard player Phil Lanzon and vocalist Bernie Shaw were recruited a quarter of a century ago in 1986. Russell Gilbrook has been Heep’s drummer for 5 years now, when he replaced long standing original drummer Lee Kerslake, who had to leave the band due to ill health.

In October 2009 Uriah Heep released their 40^th Anniversary ‘Celebration’ album, containing new studio recordings of 12 of their most successful, classic tracks, plus two brand new songs. “What better way to prove to a whole new generation of rock fans that Uriah Heep are still relevant, still capable of delivering outstanding, exciting music and are still worth investigating?” stated Chris Kee in his 9/10 review in Powerplay’s Feb 2010 issue, continuing; “Of course this collection underlines again that Uriah Heep are deserving of great respect for their past achievements but far more importantly it makes it crystal clear that this is a band with a bright future as well as a glorious history.
