The Jim Jones Revue – Dishonest John

The Jim Jones Revue released another amazing single melting the greatest tradition of rock and roll and punk music in a pretty unique style.
Dishonest John starts like a fury of piano and guitars and the singer this time imitate Lemmy’s (Kilmister) singing style creating an impossible meeting between Jerry Lee Lewis and Motorhead.
The piano player goes up and down on the keys playing scales like he’s going mad while the guitar follow it with the same fire.
The tune is quite short, lasting only two minutes, but it’s a dangerous concentrate of energy, as the song start you feel like you’re coming back from the dead to immediately return to your catatonic state of mind after those brilliant two minutes. In a word, they are shocking. And I heartly recommend to see the band live.
