The Candle Thieves – Breathing (Just for you)

| On 19, Mar 2011

The Candle Thieves start this new single with a Roland keyboard continuous sound that could appear annoying or wonderfully addicting, like a videogame sound effect, very evocative of Pacman or such games.

The vocals are velvety like any self-respecting pop singer so as choirs on the refrain. Its melody is typical of a high school tune talking about romantic love, so it’s the typical boy band song played and sung politely, even if this is not a “happy” song, I can find a back of melancholy.

Anyway the arrangement is polished, with the loop stopping for a little while to let the listener draw breath. It’s that kind of song that can be appreciated by X Factor lovers, but this is not an insult, it’s clear that pop music exists and it’s not necessarily bad, so Breathing (Just for you) can result pleasant if you suddenly find it on the radio.
