The Bullitts are the inspired brainchild of writer, producer and musician Jeymes Samuel (Jay-Z, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Estelle, Passion Pit, Mos Def, Roisin Murphy, Emeliana Torrini). Its creator, Samuel describes the new outfit’s musical genre as ‘Action Adventure’.
Their debut single Close Your Eyes harnesses the power of hip-hop’s hottest newcomer (and Jay-Z’s most recent signing) Jay Electronica, world famous actress Lucy Liu (in her musical debut) and features Samuel’s distinctively rich baritone on vocals.
Marc Baptiste – “I feel THE BULLITTS are the best band in the world so conceptualizing and directing a video for them was easy because they are so inspiring. We shot the video in Dumbo, Brooklyn and it was cold as hell that day but even sub zero temperatures couldn’t have stopped us from filming, we knew we were creating something hot“.
Storyboard P – “As soon as I heard the music I was like wow…….. I knew I had to work with THE BULLITTS because they are as adventurous sonically as I am with my choreography“.
