I.D. and Skinnz return to Earwax for their first outing since 2009’s tribal stomper ‘Blues’ (backed with the 2-step garage-licked ‘Issues’) and boy have they come up with goods! ‘Most High‘ is a unique blend of styles, taking a tribal backbone as a starting point for the beat and lacing it with dubbed out textures, dreamy pads and charging it with a full fat jungle-flavoured bassline. The beat swings and rolls in equal measures and as the track develops, eventually unleashing a dancefloor pleasing amen, carefully placed to yeild maximum impact. Fine quality beat programming and perfect production will ensure this one will please heads and ravers at the same time! Flip for ‘No Love‘, a darker, sparser outing than the lead, continuing, however, with a tribal theme. Plenty of sub weight and minimal but energetic percussion is all you really need to get people moving and this delivers in fine style. Rhythm, stealth, excellence. Check it !
