Dinosaur Pile Up – My Rock ‘N’ Roll

| On 14, Mar 2011

When this reviewer was only a budding pretentious music fan his first foray into genuinely new music, as in first singles on vinyl in six records shops with a drawn on track list, was with a band called Dinosaur Pile Up. He read about their single My Rock ‘N’ Roll in his bible, the NME, and was interested enough by their description as a quintessentially British Foo Fighters to check them out online. Since then he’s been a pretty devout Pile Up fan and one of the most satisfying things he’s seen in modern music is hearing the difference between that slightly awkward, cheap demo bursting with potential that was released three years ago and the mighty burst of astonishingly huge riffs and screams that they’ve thrown the world now. If you haven’t checked them out already and you like your Rock ‘N’ Roll loud, heavy and very, very British, then for God’s sake do so. Your life will thank you for it!
