FOUND – Factorycraft

| On 13, Mar 2011

‘Factorycraft‘ is the brand new 10 track album from Edinburgh folk/electronic band ‘FOUND‘.

Opening with a narrated urban love story ‘Anti Climb Paint’, ‘FOUND’ immediately display there unique sound and style within the first two minutes forty-three seconds of the album and welcome us into ‘Factorycraft’. The second track ‘I’ll Wake Up With A Seismic Head No More’, shows ‘FOUND’s versatility within borders, with a stronger electronic influence which only seem to increase as the album progresses.

Although, it’s not just the synths which become more noticeable as the album progresses, but also the lyrics (mainly written by the band’s frontman Ziggy Campbell) appear increasingly odder as we are guided through ‘Factorycraft’, which are shown throughout but only really struck to attention during the mid point of the album. However, the eighth track of the album, ‘Johnny I Can’t Walk The Line’ brings us back down to a less synthesised Earth and begins the build up the the albums end.

‘Factorycraft’ comes to an end with the seemingly simple but surprisingly atmospheric   ‘Blendbetter’, which summarises the sound and style of ‘FOUND’ and ends your experience(unless  you’ve set it on repeat).

An interestingly unique album, and insight into the musical world of ‘FOUND’ as well as the folk/electronic genre.
