Admiral Fallow @ The Lexington

London, 9th March
The Admiral steps on stage at ten after a courageous nay triumphant tagteam band build-up to the sound of woops and hollers from this intimate gathering of Fallowites.
He does not disappoint, using opener ‘These barren years’ as a launch pad for an hour of pure Glaswegian Malcolm Middleton-esque autobiographical poetry forged with the strength of a cracking backing band that included winds of wood and thumping percussion.
Music aside, this is definitely not a man to be messed with and one who does not mince his words, for example telling a couple whose mid-song chattering that he “f£$king hated them” without hint of sarcasm.
Admiral fallow followed up his opener with a masterful mix of old and new, and left not a soul unhappy as they left for the last ride home.
Definitely a gig worth the travelling effort involved to this secluded yet engrossing venue.
Not an artist to be missed for the world.
