Armed with an arresting voice and a charming sound, Cornelia has been making major waves amongst the music world throughout Europe. Her debut release ʻCapsuleʼ was her fantastically colourful, elemental tour de force – deserving that warm space in your minds ear, reserved only for something truly special & now we’re delighted to announce the release of By The Fire/Now and Hereafter in January 2011. In the age of the microsecond ‘My Space band’ Cornelia brings something daring & different to the table, with her soft sweet vocals and charming Swedish cool. Music is rarely as instantly enveloping or comforting as when partnered with Cornelia’s hushed croon and immaculate harmonies.

Cornelia has already caught the ear of numerous contemporaries from both the UK and her native Sweden, with José González declaring she has a ‘charming voice’ and music mogul Guy Sigsworth exclaiming her simply ‘Wonderful’

Cornelia’s influences span numerous decades and genres but she has not simply regurgitated these styles, rather she has infused them with a new lease of life. Jamie Woon, a close friend managed to pursuade Cornelia to re-locate to London from her homeland of Sweden in 2010 and Owing to her phenomenal work ethic, Cornelia set up her own label ʻCamp Mozartʼ in order to release ʻCapsuleʼ and will now become the label home for her own musings & that of her surrounded musical ‘family’.

Cornelia has been hard at work with a number of the cities finest producers and is now launching her new campaign, armed with a solid base of songs and a distinctive & instantly recognisable sound.
She says of her new release ‘We wanted to capture that juxtaposition between the safe and the uncertain, the contrasts of putting yourself out there rather than staying home where it’s safe and warm.’
Launch Night on the 25th February at The Record Bar (Stoke Newington)
