The perky Peterborough duo of Scott McEwan and Glockenshiels will be releasing their 2nd single, ‘Breathing (Just For You)’, on 21st March.
‘Breathing (Just For You)’ is a tender track that sits comfortably next to the acclaimed debut single, ‘We’re All Gonna Die (Have Fun)’, a huge slice of melodic, joyous pop music.

The Candle Thieves spent the best part of 2010 on the road with gigs ranging from colourful toytown instrumentation at fans’ local pubs, living-rooms, kitchens and back-gardens to high-profile US support slots forScissor Sisters, Lissie and David Gray, in-between releasing acclaimed EP ‘Sunshine And Other Misfortunes.’
Summoning up the spirits of Eels, Sufjan Stevens, and the Lucksmiths in their sounds, they make wonderful songs that are utterly their own. Having just returned from back to back tours with Badly Drawn Boy and Boy Least Likely To the hard working duo are now taking some time out to record their debut album, expected for release this summer.
Aided by a constant flow of bittersweet observation, wry sentiments, and firing arrows of optimism in every which direction, The Candle Thieves stake their claim as a bright and refreshing British discovery who look set to make giant strides into the public’s consciousness in 2011.
