Tuesday 1^st March 2011 – SLAM DUNK FESTIVAL 2011: Even more bands added, as well as new ‘Slam Dunk On Tour’ dates announced!

SLAM DUNK GOES NATIONWIDE WITH ‘SLAM DUNK ON TOUR’ DATES!

Due to phenomenal demand, Slam Dunk is expanding yet again to take some of the festival’s line up to other cities across the May bank holiday weekend.

o       Friday 27^th May – Slam Dunk Scotland – Glasgow ABC (featuring – Less Than Jake, Anti-Flag, Goldfinger & Set Your Goals)

o       Saturday 28^th May – Slam Dunk Festival North –  Leeds, University (featuring the full line-up detailed further down the press release)

o       Sunday 29^th May – Slam Dunk Festival South – Hatfield, University Of Hertfordshire (featuring the full line-up detailed further down the press release)

o       Monday 30^th May – Slam Dunk Birmingham – Birmingham, HMV Institute (featuring – Less Than Jake, The Starting Line, Goldfinger, Anti-Flag, We Are The Ocean, Set Your Goals, Hit The Lights, MC Lars and more TBC)

o       Tuesday 31^st May – Slam Dunk By The Sea – Southampton, Guildhall (featuring – Less Than Jake, Anti-Flag, Goldfinger & Set Your Goals.)

NEW ADDITIONS TO THE FESTIVAL LINE-UP!

This week’s new additions come in the form of the brilliant Set Your Goals, pop-punk legends Hit The Lights, fast-rising British rockers Francesqa and dub-step act, Tek One.

Festival Promoter Ben Ray says, “I am extremely pleased to have two of the star bands from last year, Set Your Goals and Hit the Lights return for this year’s event. They said they had so much fun last year, it was hard to keep them away! Francesqa are definitely one of my new favourite bands and are doing so well at the moment.The fact that they won the competition to play Slam Dunk last year, shows the public and the judging panel know how to spot talent early on!! Hopefully we will have the same luck with this year’s competition (details to be announced shortly) Tek One are amazing live and will definitely push the party levels up a notch. They also show the scene’s boundaries are endless!”
