Known for being in one of the worlds loudest rock bands, hearing Dinosaur Jr. front-man J Mascis play a charming acoustic led ditty should make for an interesting experience at the very least, fortunately, Not Enough surpasses interesting and sails into just plain excellent effortlessly. Mascis’ tired, off kilter croon suits his folk-pop stylings incredibly well and his guitar playing is uniformly brilliant, as we’ve come to expect from the great man. To be quite honest that’s really all you need to know about this, dear reader, a great song performed by a great man. Listen to it as soon as humanly possible.
