THE SWORD ANNOUNCE UK TOUR IN MAY
aaamusic | On 23, Feb 2011
Texan metal warriors The Sword are pleased to announce UK tour dates for May 2011. The band had to re-schedule touring the Warp Riders album last October due to former drummer Trivett Wingo suddenly leaving the band for personal reasons but since then the band have hit the road with a new drummer. These 5 UK performances will feature the formidable skills of notorious intergalactic bounty drummer, Kevin Fender, a veteran of the Austin music scene best known for his devastating work with Texas hardcore legends Employer, Employee.
The band will be touring the amazing Warp Riders album that was released in 2010 on Kemado Records. It’s The Sword’s first concept album, a science fiction maelstrom put to the storming, relentless riffage and pounding rhythms upon which the band has staked its reputation. It’s also their most flat-out, supercharged, adrenaline-pumping work yet, a chrome-plated war machine that lords over the blackened sky.
