We are very pleased to announce that 6 Day Riot will be supporting Marina Celeste, the voice of Nouvelle Vague, on her UK tour this coming April. Having been described by the NME as “unashamedly poppy and irrepressibly charming” and The Independent on Sunday as “lush”, the band have already supported the likes of Belle and Sebastian and Seth Lakeman plus have played many a festival including Glastonbury andT in the Park. They’re the perfect complement to Marina’s sensual quirky pop.

Marina will be touring the UK in April alongside her faithful Parisian band celebrating the release of her new album – The Angel Pop, a collaborative project between herself and the legendary Terry Hall, lead singer of The Specials.

Originally discovered at 22 by Marc Collin, of Nouvelle Vague fame, she’s no stranger to fronting a band on stage, having toured the world and selling over half a million records during the course of her career.

She originally met Terry while duetting with him on the Nouvelle Vague track “Our Lips Are Sealed”. This led the pair to reunite in Paris to record another four tracks for Marina’s upcoming album.

Marina’s album, The Angel Pop due for release on April 18th, her live show is sure to set the UK ablaze.
