If you thought hip-hop was all about misogyny, guns, machismo and an arrogant display of wealth then think again. ‘Universes’ by veteran Hip Hop MC S.U.N injects some sorely needed integrity back into the genre. Full of conscious and clever lyrics laid on top of jazzy and soulful beats, the album delivers an original and diverse groove blended with some beautiful vocal melodies and a varied use of instrumentals. Definitely Hip Hop at it’s finest and worth listening to if you’re looking for intelligent rhyming and some incredible tracks.
