80s are powerfully coming back, and it’s a fact, whether you like it or not. I’ve found myself listening to another band that created a sonic tapestry with synths and reverb-laden guitars.

This is not a bad thing: I like Vigo Thieves. Their sound is polished, they have chosen a kind of synthesizers that calls inevitably to 80s (and to the legendary “Jump”) and great artists of that time such as New Order, Big Country, and Simple Minds, but it’s not kitsch indeed, you can hear this epic background that give relevance to Stevie’s vocals. They also add a shriek keyboard to support backing vocals during the chorus .The singer’s voice is warm and powerful, it’s really good to give a touch of darkness to this kind of cheerful- indie. I love when music stops to leave the singer alone with a veil of synths that sound like the wind.
